little bit of lagniappe

reflecting on everyday grace

Easter sky

My friend Jona sent this photo to me today, which had been passed to her by a friend in Iowa, and it just seems “EASTER-y” to me.

Easter sky

Do you see it?

There is suffering as harsh and bitter as lightning, but also there is grace…and often right alongside, touching ever so gently and beautifully.

In the midst of life’s storms, God’s colorful love and promise exists and prevails.

Jona also commented that there is so much behind what we immediately focus on in the picture.  What else do you notice?

As she so wisely offered, “what you think you see isn’t always what is being revealed.”

May we take time daily to pause, look, listen, and wait for what is to be revealed.
